Cruising Day 4 - Skagway

No Creative Journey today - just a rainy day in Skagway.



Um, yeah, and then it started to SNOW - OK May 14th & snow...well, it is Alaska :-)



And that evening, ScrapMap sent each of us some chocolate covered strawberries. Yum, watching it snow & eating strawberries!!

Cruising Day 3 - Juneau - Parts & Pieces

This was a mini project created by Karen (key chain) one of Tim's friends who helped him during classes. Basically, it bits and pieces of clock stuff, brads, wires, clips, chains, etc. all presented (per Tim - "it's all about presentation") in a little coffee stained bag - yup, the bag smelled like coffee. You can see the monogram stamp on the bag (more info about it below in this post).




And here is what I came up with. I still have lots of bits & pieces to play with, but now I know what do to with them!!



And, I attached it to my journal we made the first day.



Some more goodies we received. Yup, that's a monogram stamper kit. Tim had several set up so we could stamp our projects & then he gave each of us one of our own. I went into the Creative Journey Emporium & purchased a set of tiny letters and numbers to go with this.



John & I went on a photography tour of Juneau - several miles of walking and taking photos. Here's our ship as viewed from Douglas:

Cruising Day 2 - first Creative Workshop - Memories of the Journey

Yup, I'm at the right place.



Class kit, donated by Ranger. Had to bring it to class each day so we could use the goodies. Distress ink, crackle paint, black paint dauber, mister, white pen....see all the goodies below.




The first project: Memories of the Journey. We made a small book with Grungeboard covers, covered with crackle paint and inked. 7 Gypsey's knob, ribbons, new prima flowers and all sorts of goodies. The book was made to fit in the tin - I'll be decorating mine later.




Here are some of the internal pages - each inked with our ink blender and decorated with fun stuff. Tim likes stuff and knows we like stuff, so there was lots of stuff in the workshops.




Speaking of stuff...here's some of the free stuff we received on the first day. Lots of companies donated goodies for us.



And my favorite picture....Tim and me...he is such a funny and creative person.

Cruising Day 1

Welcome reception in the Spinnaker Lounge. We were given our name tags & a tote to use every day. Had to wear the name tag, or we weren't allowed into the classes. The name tag holder was big enough to hold the schedule of events, my camera (Sony Cybershot) and ATCs for trading. Had to bring the tote EMPTY to class....hummm, I wonder why???





After a bit of housekeeping details, Tim was introduced and he is such a wonderful & funny guy. He wouldn't give away any secrets as to what we would be doing each day. But, that's OK, we were ready to roll!!
