The Seattle Post-Intelligencer
I grew up with this newspaper. Every morning it was delivered to the door. It is part of my history and I'm a little sad at its demise. They will go on on the internet, but there is nothing like spreading the paper out on the table and reading here & there, or going through section by section.
After 146 years, the P-I's final edition rolled off the presses yesterday, and quickly sold out. So many things are changing, sometimes I wish the world would slow down a little. So I wish the remaining 20 staff members the best of luck with the new venture.

I agree that it is sad... Didn't I see they were keeping the ball going?
Gosh, so sad... so many things in this world are changing so fast.
So very sad.
I agree - I wish everything would slow down. I've been into movies and books set in the 1700 and 1800's lately - Jane Austin, Georgette Heyer etc. I know it is my yearning for a simpler time.
btw - you are the 2nd person to see fire and ice on my un-named piece... hmmm
